Hi guys,
I’ve been working very hard to get these flux capacitor pedals out to you all. Up first thing in the morning and working most nights until at least 9 or 10pm. My wife has forgotten what I look like! smile emoticon
For those keeping track of the order, this week is week 8, so I’m just about on schedule for shipping out within the initial 6-8 week estimate.
Unfortunately I’ve been let down.
As you can see the pedal internals for all 40 units are now fully assembled, and today I’ve been testing the pedals one-by-one. Sadly I’ve found out that I’ve been supplied a bad batch of most important chip – the one that actually takes care of the delay functions. Every single chip exhibits horrible background noise and is unfit for purpose.
I’m in talks with two suppliers in the USA to see how quickly I can get the genuine chips over here – I can’t trust ordering any more from my UK supplier.
All I can do is apologise and ask that you bear with me whilst I sort this out. If I had any hair I’d be tearing it out in frustration. Countless hours have gone into hand-wiring and constructing every single part of these pedals, only to fail at the last moment. I’d love nothing more than to get the pedals sent out so I can relax over Christmas and so you guys can enjoy them, but now it looks like I’ll be spending Christmas worrying about trying to sort this out.
In the meantime I’ll be labelling and boxing up, printing the address labels so as soon as the next batch of chips arrive I can literally just pop them in and send out.
Thanks again for your patience and (hopefully) support in all this.
D
